About the Author
Born on August 9, 2007, in Metepec, she moved to the country’s capital with the dream of becoming a doctor after graduating from Tecnológico de Monterrey. At 18, passionate about film, drawing, photography, and the study of human nature, she stands out for her ability to empathize with others.
Regarding her decision to focus on photography, she shares:
“Ever since I was little, photography caught my attention thanks to my sister’s architecture projects, in which she used professional cameras. In middle school, I was able to take a three-year photography workshop; I’ve always been fascinated by capturing feelings and experiences in a single image. Now, in college, I have the opportunity to rekindle that passion and showcase my creativity.”
Her motivation to study medicine stems from a desire to be an agent of change and to demonstrate that it is possible to practice the profession with a deep sense of humanity, empathy, and warmth toward patients.
In this project, she successfully merges the two major aspects of her life—art and the complexity of the human body with its biological processes—using photography as the common thread.
